I just love the flavor of teff so I wanted to showcase it in a sweet application. I'm so glad you liked it! Raspberries sound delicious for this!Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11588224204531062251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3254465493688683865.post-69062533968827100122022-01-01T08:07:30.129-08:002022-01-01T08:07:30.129-08:00I've been working my way through your recipes,...I've been working my way through your recipes, and finally tried these last night. Wow. It's the first decent (excellent!) scone I've had in YEARS.

Because I was out of some of your ingredients, and for allergies, I did substitute a bit: Cornstarch in place of the potato starch, Earth Balance sticks for the butter, small, frozen red raspberries bc the blueberries were gone! Lastly, I had no cream or coconut cream, so I started with 1/4 cup of soymilk, and added per your directions. Half a cup did the trick. Not as rich as the cream, but the dough worked up, chilled, and baked just as the recipe says. And you're right- the whole grain flours are delicious.

It's a testament to your work on this recipe that I could substitute like I did, and these still baked up deliciously. thank you so much.sianifairyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04411279065605895619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3254465493688683865.post-83783900602077360112012-01-22T17:20:03.100-08:002012-01-22T17:20:03.100-08:00Thanks Iris! Blueberries and lemon zest really add something to them, but the whole grain flours are delicious too.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11588224204531062251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3254465493688683865.post-36313796957908856612012-01-22T11:45:22.426-08:002012-01-22T11:45:22.426-08:00Sounds so delicious!
